Instructions and Help about Operations section chief

Good morning, Bob Neumann. I am the operations section chief for the central California incident management team. I am here to brief you on our progress for October 3rd, 2016. It was a very successful day yesterday as we continue to contain and control the fire. We have been working hard to take the heat out of the uncontained line around the fire. Our efforts at the malaria camp have been fruitful. We are also making great progress with the rehab of the coast road. There is a small area that we have been working on, but it remains too dangerous for our helicopter repellers to enter. We will continue to monitor and assess it. We also have a minor heat source at the top of antenna cone, but it poses minimal threat due to its minimal fuel and the wind blowing it away. As we move around the fire, we have an open line with three crews working on it. We are optimistic that we will be able to fully contain this area soon. Last night, our flight assessment was positive. We have been conducting suppression repair work in all divisions, extending into the Arroyo Seco area. Overall, yesterday was another good day, and we are looking forward to continued progress today. The weather conditions, with high humidity and the potential for sprinkles, are favoring our efforts. That concludes my report for today. Thank you.
